“12 Days of Craftmas”- Beaded Earrings

Make Beaded Earrings with Ravina!
Learn the art of beading and create a pair of beautiful hand crafted earrings! In this workshop you’ll become fully immersed in beading practice and learn how to create a complete set of earrings. The unique craft of beading creates elegant pieces of jewelry while also paying homage to indigenous culture.
Duration: 3 hours – you must arrive 15 minutes before the start time to participate

Project: Set of Beaded Santa Earrings

Come to our workshop if:
- You love challenging yourself to learn a new skill
- You want to celebrate the holiday season in style
- You want to learn a new art form as well as learn more about indigenous culture
You will learn various beaded stitches, jewelry design and how to put together a pair of earrings.
You will successfully complete a pair of Santa earrings ready to gift (earring backs and gift baggie included) or keep as a gift for themselves.

About the Instructor:
Ravina Dhaliwal, Artist and Creator of Beaded Bijoux
Ravina Dhaliwal is an Indian and Indigenous womxn who currently lives on Semiahmoo traditional territory in Surrey BC. She has been practicing the art of beading for six years and has been sharing her teachings with youth and adults since she began. Ravina believes that beadwork is a connection to her Indigenous culture and that it creates community. She is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Child and Youth Care at Douglas College. While she isn’t studying or stitching beads together Ravina loves to spend time with her son, partner and cat.
What is the age limit for the class?

Where can I park?
Maker Cube’s parking lot has ample space available. Should the lot reach capacity, there is street parking along 206A St.
Please arrive 15 minutes before class for sign-in and to ensure it starts on time, those arriving more than 5 minutes late will not be able to participate.
