Class Goals : Students will learn all the safety procedures and routines needed to weld confidently. By the end of the class students will have gained experience in : cutting stock metal , prepping and cleaning a weld, tacking a weld , creating T joints and outside corner welds , and fitting MIG weld into your project. The final component will be having a cleaned and polished finished part that you can proudly take home.
During the class our experienced instructor will explain the mechanics of each tool and carry out an orientation to demonstrate their function. Students will then be authorized to use the tools independently as members of Maker Cube after successful completion of the testing portion for each tool. Please note that based on attendance this tool training may not provide significant practice with each tool, nor discuss any intermediate or advanced techniques.
