Maker Cube: Langley’s Hub for Creativity and Hands-On Skills
Maker Cube is a family-operated and funded makerspace, founded in 2017 by Adam Ali, Jacqueline Ali, and Doug Chan to support Langley and the surrounding communities. Built on a passion for hands-on skills, creativity, and entrepreneurship, we provide a welcoming environment where makers of all backgrounds can explore their passions, learn new skills, and connect with others.
What We Offer
At Maker Cube, we celebrate the process of making. Our space brings together artists, hobbyists, and entrepreneurs who want to pursue their creativity in an environment that encourages experimentation and learning. While we provide access to professional-grade tools for woodworking, metalworking, 3D printing, and more, our true value lies in the community we’ve built. Through hands-on classes, workshops, and mentorship, our members find the support and inspiration they need to turn their ideas into reality.
Why Your Membership Matters
As a locally-owned, family-operated business, we’ve invested everything into building a space that fosters curiosity and skill-sharing. Every membership supports the continued growth and sustainability of this community resource, allowing us to reinvest in new tools, improve our facilities, and expand our learning opportunities. By joining Maker Cube, you’re not just gaining access to a workspace; you’re supporting a family-run hub that empowers others to learn, make, and share. Even if you have your own workshop, your membership helps keep this invaluable resource available for others in our community.
Our Commitment
We are dedicated to keeping the spirit of making alive in Langley. Maker Cube exists to encourage curiosity, nurture creativity, and support the hands-on skills that are becoming less common. Your membership fuels this mission, helping us maintain a space where everyone can explore, create, and connect.
Our Culture
Is to be all-inclusive environment and welcome makers at all skill levels. We encourage the members of our maker community to help one another and to create a diverse environment for all kinds of creative outlets. It is one of our greatest joys to take something we have learned and pass that on to another human being who is eager to learn and grow in ways we can’t imagine.
Our Philosophy
Is to foster innovation, learning and creativity by providing the means for the community to grow. We highly encourage anyone and everyone to pursue continuous education and skill building in all disciplines of making and fabrication. We believe the best way to achieve this is through hands-on learning, mentorship and cultivating curiosity by inspiring a sense of wonder.
